» Tava is also the name of a fortified, carbonated beverage from PepsiCo.

A tava, also known as tawah, is a large, flat or slightly concave disc-shaped griddle made from cast iron, steel or aluminium. It is used in Indian and Pakistani cuisine to prepare several kinds of roti or breads including chapati, paratha, chaap, pao bhaaji, chaat, etc. Tava is also used to make South Indian dishes like Dosa and Pesarattu.
   It is also used for a class of foods known as tava fry or tava masala.
